The Locator of Possess (悪魔憑き探索装置, Akumatsuki Tansaku Sōchi?) is a device developed by Eta to locate people suffering from the Possession affliction.
Overview[]
Developed to search for more suffering from Possession, Eta made the locator to reduce the search efforts of Shadow Garden's members. The device was then replicated to allow for search and rescue teams to find more possessed, cure them, and likely recruit them in the mission to destroy the Cult of Diablos.
Background[]
Within one month's time, Shadow Garden using the device found at least 600+ possessed young women, and they were recruited into Shadow Garden. At present, their numbers still grew, with their most recent initiate being Number 666.
Functions[]
- The Locator searches for those with Possession by reading the excess discharges of magic, similar to a Geiger counter.
Trivia[]
- Given how the locator was only activated for one month before reaching 600+ new recruits, it can be estimated that Shadow Garden's membership was originally barely in the 100s before activation, likely completed when Cid began enrollment in the Academy that the locator was completed and implemented.
- This holds some credit given Nu was a "recent member" when Cid reunited with Gamma just before the Academy Attack.
