The Midgar Kingdom is powerful, home to many formidable dark knights, such as Iris Midgar. Furthermore, Midgar's royal capital boasts being home to the Midgar Academy, one of the most prestigious dark knights' academies on the continent.
The Midgar Kingdom are using Royal Bushin method, which is a relatively new fighting style and a deviation from traditional Bushin. Traditional Bushin method was originally already the most popular style in Midgar, so there was some resistance at first between the traditional supporters and the trailblazers. But thanks to Princess Iris, it’s now being recognized as the second most popular style in this country, behind only the traditional Bushin method.

Background[]
The Midgar Kingdom was first founded by the Midgar royal family, currently ruled by King Klaus Midgar and sired his two daughters, Iris Midgar and Alexia Midgar. During his reign, Klaus noticed the Cult of Diablos, their power and influence, and decided to oppose them secretly.
The first princess, Iris Midgar showed tremendous strength and talent. After graduating from the Midgar Academy, she got officially recognized as the strongest dark knight in the kingdom. Her achievements built a strong reputation among the dark knights within the kingdom and fame and popularity among the citizens.
Six to seven years ago, the Midgar Kingdom established an alliance with the Oriana Kingdom to protect their nations against any external conflict, allowing Princess Rose Oriana to attend their academy.
Princess Alexia's Kidnapping[]
Discovering the news about Alexia Midgar's disappearance, Iris Midgar desperately ordered the knights to find her and begin an investigation. Knowing that Cid Kageno was the last person seen with her, he became the first suspect in the abduction. Zenon Griffey and several of his followers arrested Cid and beat him during his interrogation. However, the young man did not give up anything. Zenon then met with Princess Iris and reported on Cid's interrogation and the lack of a confession. Thus, Iris decided to release him but assign a few knights to watch over him.
Two days later late at night, the capital was shaken when it heard reports about the situation of several ambushes that occurred in the capital simultaneously at various locations until it was confirmed that there were 8 demolition sites carried out in groups until several buildings were destroyed. Knowing the situation was getting more complicated, the Knight Order mobilized in a state of emergency to begin evacuating high-profile leaders and citizens. Iris ordered the security team to focus on the Academy as she and her men headed to the scene to stop the chaos.
While carrying out the evacuation process, there was a gigantic monster that had been wreaking havoc as the knight prepare to face it, but their attacks are ineffective as the creature just regenerated until Iris comes and inflicts a more serious wound on the monster. But, despite easily slashing it many times over, the creature keep regenerated until she decides to get more serious and cuts its arm. However, after seeing the monster easily regenerates it, Iris decides to cut it to small pieces so that it won't be able to regenerate.
Before Iris could resume her attack to inflicting several wounds on the creature, a mysterious figure stopped her and states she is just making her suffer as she knows the monster pain and suffering and she will put an end to it. Iris demand to know who she is, which she replied as Alpha. Alpha then ended the monster's rampage by giving an attack on the monster, curing it and returning it to her original human form, a young girl. Alpha then tells Iris that she should stay behind and enjoy the show while they face this situation, as well as saying not to get in Shadow Garden's way.
At the same time, Alexia Midgar, who escaped from being held in a hidden facility by taking advantage of the chaos had met Zenon Griffey, who reveals that it was he who kidnapped Alexia in order to take her royal blood being used in an experiment for his achievement to become the 12th Seat of the Knights of Rounds. Hearing this revelation, Alexia angrily attacked him, but she lost due to the difference in strength and will be taken by Zenon.
Before Zenon took Alexia, suddenly there was a mysterious person who called himself Shadow and intended to interfere his way. Alexia saw the two of them fight and she was surprised that Zenon, who is a talented knight whose name is already known in the kingdom could being overwhelmed by Shadow, who she admired with his abilities, especially in his swordsmanship.
Alexia also thinks and feels concerned about Zenon and Shadow's motives, which might have intentions and there is an organization that has been in the shadows. Then Alexia saw Zenon take out a red pill and consume it until Alexia saw a change in Zenon body, both physically and strength. Even though his power has increased, Zenon is still defeated by Shadow who giving him a fist fight and then he starts using very large magic and intends to end it using the "I am Atomic" attack.
At that moment, there was a huge explosion that occur and leaving a large crater in the middle of the city. Iris witnesses it and heads to the source, where at the location, she is happily delighted to finally find Alexia unharmed in the middle of the crater.
The next morning, the incident has been resolved on the surface with Zenon Griffey who is a respected man in Midgar Kingdom becoming the suspect of this incident and the real mastermind of Alexia's kidnapping, which soured his reputation and tarnished the Royal Bushin method.
The Knight Order began to investigate the destroyed facility and find most classified documents and objects to be confiscated in the warehouse, until an unknown person tries to destroy any items inside the warehouse by burning them until nothing is left, with only an artifact being saved. Knowing this, Iris is preparing to dispatch a special brigade in order to combat forces that would disrupt the Midgar Kingdom and she held a private meeting with Glen and Marco Granger, who asked them to join the Crimson Order upon learning the existence of both secret organizations such as the Cult of Diablos and Shadow Garden.
Iris decided to form this new order with them, because she couldn't trust the Knight Order after discovering that Zenon was a member of the Cult and a warehouse arson incident that destroyed all the evidence, storing classified documents and objects from Cult of Diablos which have been confiscated. They both agreed to help the princess investigate the organization, becoming the first members of the Crimson Order. Being unable to determine if Shadow Garden were friend or foe, the Crimson Order also pursued them with all their might as they also pursued the Cult of Diablos.
Midgar Academy Terrorist Attack[]
The Knight Order tried to investigate a series of serial murders targeting citizens by individuals publicly believed to be Shadow Garden and delivering "justice".
Both Princess Iris Midgar and Alexia Midgar along with her two personal subordinate, Glen and Marco Granger went to the Midgar Academy to meet Sherry Barnett and showing an artifact they found in the Cult's hideout, which they can't decipher it and asks for Sherry, who is the most brilliant mind in the kingdom, if she can decipher it.
The Academy Assistant Principal Lutheran Barnett encourages Sherry to do the job by stating it's a rare opportunity, which she accepts, and Iris decides to assign the Crimson Order to keep watch on them stating that the Cult of Diablos will be after the artifact. Lutheran hears that's the new knight order that Iris formed, and she confirms that it's a small order, but it made by people she trusts, and he went to question her about Iris distrust about the Knight Order, which she gave silent answer. Lutheran allowed it under the condition that he takes only two guards to secure Sherry in her lab, so Princess Iris chose her most trusted men: Glen and Marco Granger.
Having become curious about Shadow Garden and the Cult of Diablos, Alexia decides to take a more active role in the internal affairs of her kingdom by joining Iris's investigations to which also wishes to help her for investigate Shadow and she accepts. During a night patrol, Alexia encountered three imposters who are disguising themselves as part of Shadow Garden. They had a brief fight until Shadow saves her. Alexia warns Shadow to not become an enemy of her kingdom, which is met with cold indifference.
After Alexia escape from her attacker due to Shadow saved her, she tells Iris that the killer was impersonating Shadow Garden. Alexia adds that Shadow is fighting the Cult, and Iris hopes that they will learn something more when the artifact gets deciphered. Alexia then asks her who she thinks is the real enemy, Shadow Garden or the Cult of Diablos. Iris states it's both and that she won't allow anyone to wreak havoc in the Kingdom, even Alexia tried to warn her about Shadow's strength.
When Alexia dropped off at the Academy to resume her studies, but sees the gate is closed and the school guard is already dead and alerted Iris about the terrorist attack taking the school hostage.
As the Knight Order were kept at bay when they tried to enter the Academy due to their magic have been sealed because the magic blocking field that surrounded the Academy and snipers at the vantage points, Iris attempted to intercede and meet with her Crimson Order subordinates inside. However, she was rebuffed by the senior authorities attempting to keep the situation stable for the time being, with one of the knights exclaiming that Iris would be of no use without her magic if she entered. Offended by the thought, Iris still had to respect the chain of command and withheld her frustration, waiting until the magic-sealing bubble lifted, and the knights could swarm in.
After the magic blocking field that surrounded the Academy has been disabled by the artifact control unit that Sherry Barnett thrown at the auditorium hall, the Knight Order decide to enter the Academy to save the students from being hostages until in that moment the academy went burst into flames. Once on academy grounds, Iris met with Princess Rose Oriana to learn that there were two groups calling themselves Shadow Garden, with one responsible for the attack and the other for freeing the students.
In the wake of the attack incident, Shadow and his organization Shadow Garden thus deemed them responsible for their crimes of the attack on the academy and all over the kingdom, even the Midgar's government labelled them as an enemy to the kingdom by designating them as a terrorist organization, listing their crimes and wanted for mass murder, kidnapping, arson, and robbery, which make the Knight Order are seeking to apprehend them by already trying to hunting them down.
With the failure of the Crimson Order's first mission, Princess Iris lost the majority support from the Knight Order with Glen's unexpected demise shortly after joining. Iris notes to herself that her Crimson Order has lost their strongest members and probably won't be able to rebuild them as it is unlikely that they can be replaced.
Unbeknownst to the public, the true perpetrators in all these incidents were Lutheran Barnett who wanted to make Shadow Garden an "enemy of the world" by orchestrating an organized series of murders in the capital and carrying out a terrorist attack on the Academy in order to bestow all his crimes onto Shadow Garden.
Sanctuary Infiltration[]
As the events of the Goddess's Trial in Lindwurm were about to begin, Alexia Midgar visits Mitsugoshi Company's store along with Iris Midgar to make preparations for her departure trip as her father, king Klaus Midgar intended to send her to attend the event as a VIP guest and also investigate the dark rumors of the archbishop Drake regarding the corruption and missing orphans, as well as the relation with the Holy Church of Divine Teachings alongside the Crimson Order.
Hearing the news of the archbishop death, Alexia goes to the church and having an audit with acting archbishop Jack Nelson, explaining that she was there to investigate the previous archbishop's death, to which he replied that the Church will be handling the investigation and she will need to be reapproved to conduct an investigation on the issue as Nelson already send the letter to the king Klaus Midgar and also telling her to enjoy the "Goddess's Trial" event.
The "Goddess's Trial" event was doing well until the last challenger is a student from Midgar Academy for Dark Knights, Cid Kagenou was called out. When the student was called out Shadow appeared out of nowhere much to the audience's surprise. Nelson ordered his men to gather the Church’s Paladin to surround Shadow, before he was shocked that he didn't activate any summons and saw the figure of ancient warrior known as Aurora, the Witch of Calamity. Shadow and Aurora only faced each other until they started clashing blades, as Shadow decide to end the match by closed in the distance and managed to defeat her with ease.
Upon Shadow's victory, Nelson in shock and irk tried to order his men to capture him when the barrier breaks, and a magic door suddenly appears in the middle of the arena. He became startled and wondered if the magic door responded to Shadow and that he was worthy enough to pass through the Sanctuary. As the door starts opening, he gives orders to evacuate the citizens and canceled the trial. Nelson then tries to order Alexia and the rest leave however, Shadow Garden member led by Alpha appeared and asked the princesses to not do anything until the door is closed and then enters the door. Epsilon had taken down the Archbishop's guards and stated he will be coming with them inside the gate, but Nelson refused and calls his guard Venom to kill her. This attempt in resisting failed as Venom was cut down with her asking the witnesses if they saw anything to which they responded that they did not see anything before apprehending the Archbishop.
Alexia and Rose Oriana went to entering the gateway alongside members of Alpha's squad with the captured Nelson and the "hostage" Natsume Kafka to find themselves in the Sanctuary. Inside the Sanctuary, Alexia would then come to have learned about the truth of the Three Heroes, Possession, as well as the Cult of Diablos's origins and true objective to perfecting the Beads of Diablos until Alpha revealing Nelson's true affiliation as the 11th Seat of the Knights of Rounds, to which he confirms it by revealing himself as Nelson the Avaricious and tends to separating them into groups.
Alexia saw the fight between Alpha and Delta against Nelson and his deluge of copies in the Sanctuary defense system as she was stunned to see Delta brutality by fighting like a berserker with no technique. When the defense system breaks as Nelson is surprised that over hundreds of his copies have been defeated without even breaking a sweat. Alpha states that even if he was able to create a hundred copies, they all still have one brain, and he couldn't control them all that well. Nelson then sees a statue of Olivier and calls for Olivier to come. Olivier comes out, but at the same time Epsilon's team joins Alpha and states they are done with the investigation and can leave. Nelson is surprised that they are running away, but Alpha explains their objective is to cut off the source of power and now know how the Sanctuary defenses work, so they will be returning again.
Alexia then decides to escape from the Sanctuary along with Rose and Natsume until outside, the three saw Shadow's magic annihilate the Sanctuary and flood Lindwurm. Concluding they were ignorant to the true battle even have learned the connection with the recent events with the two organizations, Alexia alongside Rose and Natsume made an alliance in hopes of protecting anything they dear most, which they swore friendship by gathering and sharing information to learn what they could.
The news of the Sanctuary being obliterated had spread far and wide, causing the Midgar Kingdom's government to place more notoriety upon Shadow Garden. Hearing the news, Princess Iris approach King Klaus Midgar, as she wanted to use the kingdom's authority to investigate the Holy Church. Even after hearing reports of suspicions of collusion between the Holy Church of Divine Teachings and the Cult of Diablos, Klaus did not try to deal with it on the pretext that it was not a certainty with the facts at present and had no crucial evidence to justify a long-term investigation.
Furthermore, with the approaching of Bushin Festival event along with many honored guests from abroad to whom he must presently play host, Klaus think that this is certainly not a time where he can afford to present himself being antagonistic toward the Church for causing any undue turmoil. Also, Klaus wants to avoid upsetting his allies in Oriana Kingdom and receiving a visit from their king, Raphael Geerk Oriana. Iris is determined to get results and prove that she has power to stand up against the Divine Teachings, which Klaus often finds it tiresome to remind Iris of his words and also holds high expectations of her.
Wanting to gain solid support in her plans to reform her personal order, Iris intends to increase her prestige and win more people's hearts by becoming a consecutive winner in the Bushin Festival tournament to bring a great victory to Midgar in restoring the honor of the kingdom's good name, as well as raising the Crimson Order's ranks and further solidifying her own political power within the royal court.
After meeting with the King, Iris want to hear every detail from Alexia who went to Lindwurm to attend as a guest in the Goddess's Trial event to provide every detailed report she knew while she was in the Sanctuary by confirming the assumption that Holy Church of Divine Teachings was indeed suspicious by revealing that the murdered Archbishop Drake and Nelson, who was the Archbishop's killer, had ties to the Cult.
Even though the rest only knew so much that all the evidence was covered up and the entrance to the Sanctuary could no longer be found, Alexia insistently asked Iris to investigate the Divine Teachings because there must be a big organization that are capable of keeping a facility as big as the Sanctuary a secret that kept hidden from the public which should be impossible to hide without having a very significant powerful influence, even if they had to force it under the pretense of following up on leads related to incidents in the capital.
Despite Alexia's insistence, Iris tell her that she also had suggested the same thing to their father, Klaus Midgar to use the kingdom's authority to investigate the Holy Church. But, the King told both princess not to do anything and prevented them from investigating further due to political reasons with the Bushin Festival is almost approaching which was about to start coupled with the arrival of the Oriana Kingdom delegation and receiving their king's visit, had shown that this was definitely not the right time where Midgar Kingdom can afford to present itself being antagonistic toward the Church for causing any undue turmoil and wants to avoid upsetting their allies.
However, Iris told Alexia that they need to either present clear evidence or demonstrate the strength to overcome any sort of national crisis by revealing that if she won the upcoming Bushin Festival tournament again and become the winner this year, then she will have more backing and support of the people which is a perfect way to draw further backing from the Knight Order with earning the prestige of successive wins at the festival.
After bringing the honor of victory at an international tournament to Midgar, it will also raise and solidify the Crimson Order's rank further after receiving the kingdom's citizenry support and once gaining a strong position in political power, their father could be able to listen to his two daughters and those in the palace could not ignore what they have to say. When Alexia wonders if the Cult or Shadow Garden won't get involved in the Festival since they have acted at every major event so far, but Iris is sure of her sword skills.
Bushin Festival Tournament[]
There has been a great deal of criticism on the Royal Bushin method because of its questionable credibility, particularly from the propagators of the method, Zenon Griffey whose reputation has now been tarnished by his actions and as a result, his scandals have disgrace the Royal Bushin method.
Fearing for the kingdom's future, Iris Midgar plans to enter the tournament to participated and became a recurring champion in winning the Bushin Festival, in order to regain the good name of the kingdom's fighting technique that she had been trying so hard to contribute and restore public faith in her kingdom's knights order and the royal family, hoping that her victory would assuring her kingdom's confidence, in both her strength and their security as the public would raising support upon her victory.
Even their ally, the Oriana Kingdom would be participating in this festival as the Academy had selected Student Council President Rose Oriana who was the winner of the academy tournament as the representative, as well as being the first to participate to represent the Oriana Kingdom. In particular, King Raphael Geerk Oriana had come to the capital of Midgar to convey to Rose about her engagement.
However, there was an incident regarding Princess Oriana attacking her own fiancé, the Royal Chancellor, Duke Perv Asshat whose actions have become an international issue for both kingdoms and due to an unexpected event, Rose's position as the Academy's representative has been replaced by Claire Kagenou in her stead. Midgar intends to arrest Rose for her actions under the jurisdiction of Midgar's laws. But Oriana has persuaded the Midgar government not to get involved in interfering with Rose's affairs and personally want to take handle on the matters themselves for reason as a "family matter".
Later, Princess Iris has a meeting with Duke Perv and King Raphael to discuss the security plan for the Bushin Festival but Perv doesn't feel it needs more security. When Iris states that his condition looks good because the report about him being attacked is different from the report she received, Perv agrees as he says that the news story was a little exaggerated and guesses that Midgar worries that easily because of Alexia's kidnapping. Perv then heard that Iris personally went looking for her and he intends to follow the same and have Oriana solve their family problems themselves. Perv then adds that every business will be taken care of by himself for the negotiation, rebuilding princess order and appearing in the Bushin Festival. Even Perv sympathizes with Princess Iris's worry and he eases her concern that Oriana Kingdom will not do anything that troubles her.
Meanwhile, Alexia Midgar was trying to investigate the incident with help from Natsume Kafka when she gives her access to an information that even she couldn't get her hands on it. They both thought that if Rose gets caught, she would be in serious trouble, but probably wouldn't be given the death penalty because of her royal status. Alexia wants to confirm Rose's predicament by finding her before the Oriana Kingdom does, in order to knowing her side of the story after hearing it. But Natsume guesses that Rose probably didn't tell them anything to avoid the possibility of escalating trouble between both kingdoms and not getting involved in her troubles. Despite being irritated by her words, Alexia understands her reasonable advice and decides to consult her older sister. While Beta will try to gather more information about Rose, especially about Duke Perv Asshat because she heard about his unsavory rumors. After Alexia left, she was given more info about Perv by Beta without her knowing, so as to keep her busy and not do anything to get into trouble.
Knowing Rose's current location information which is in the underground ruins through the sewers, Alexia and Natsume head to the tunnels under the Royal Capital. Natsume then shares some information with Alexia about Perv to confirm their guess as they are suspicious of the Chancellor by relating the incident that sparked by Rose as she suddenly attacking him without any injuries and thinking that Perv possibly had a connection with the Cult of Diablos. Natsume notes that it will be difficult to provide evidence of Perv's involvement with the Cult as this situation is a matter of national and religious importance, so normal evidence will not be enough. Alexia adds that her father told her that they needed something that would convince the masses and the neighboring countries, if they wanted to link the Cult's relationship with the Holy Church of Divine Teachings and she thinks that some of their top brasses were involved with the Cult. Even Natsume stated that if they continued to deny the Church, they would be considered as heretics.
Alexia is irritated by her father's inaction due to his long-standing policy of not showing any antagonism with the Church and tells Natsume that she was told by her sister Iris that King Oriana doesn't seem to be affected by Rose's actions which made her suspicious as when Iris had said that the King seemed to have a somewhat hollow, which Alexia intent to meet him and she slightly smelled the sweet scent from the King's body. Hearing the King's irregularity, Natsume notices it and tells Alexia that it seems they are too late. Alexia is also sure that the Cult is definitely make their move and if they continue to do nothing as her father suggests, the Cult will end up causing a lot of trouble for the kingdom.
While still doing their search, Alexia and Beta suddenly feel a burst of magic and they run towards it and find Rose Oriana. Rose states she gained strength and will follow the path she believes in. Alexia has a question for Rose, but she refuses to say anything because Rose doesn't want to drag Alexia into this. As Rose continues to refuse to say anything, Alexia draws her sword and intends to forcefully make her speak. The two start fighting, but Rose overpowers Alexia and leaves her for Natsume.
On the day when the quarterfinals round was to be held, Alexia went to meet Natsume, but she had already left the other day to look for information overseas, leaving behind a document containing the information Alexia needed. During that time, Iris is in the VIP seat when she meets Cid Kagenou and she wants him to sit here because she was the one who gave Claire the ticket for him and apologizes for what happened to him due to Zenon's actions. Iris asked about Cid's friendship with her sister Alexia and then discussed about the battle between Annerose Nichtsehen and Mundane Mann in terms of their fighting capabilities, even Iris heard that there was news about the first champion of the Bushin Festival, Beatrix who was nicknamed the Goddess of War was in the capital after haven't showed her face in public for over a decade before Iris sees Cid leave his seat to go to the toilet.
As the match is about to start soon, Iris meets Perv who suddenly sits on Cid's chair with suspicious feeling towards him, then discusses and asks about Rose's predicament but Perv calmly expresses confidence that he will come back to her once she calms down. She explains that her king will be attending the festival tomorrow on the grounds of not feeling well and apologizes that the security has been in vain, Iris explains that her father, king Klaus Midgar will also be watching from tomorrow.
Perv then sees Annerose coming out in the arena. He heard that she is in the middle of a training pilgrimage and would love to invite her to work for his kingdom. Iris also states that a warrior of her caliber would be in use for her kingdom as well. Perv asks her what she thinks of Annerose opponent, Mundane Mann. Iris states she sees him for the first time, but he doesn't look very strong. However, she isn't sure of Annerose's win as Mundane is a little unnerving and there is no uncertainty in his eyes, which isn't typical for a weak fighter as she had a feeling that Mundane will possibly win the match. When the match is started, Iris and Perv watch their fight to see the match outcome.
The victory of the match was won by Mundane and Perv complimented Iris's observation that even she herself was surprised that someone as strong as him was unnoticed for that long. Perv states the tomorrow's next round would be Iris versus Mundane and wonders if she is confident that she can beat him. Iris states she can't match his beauty of swordplay, but she believes that if Mundane's abilities were only like that, then she would be no match for him. However there's a good chance that he's hiding something, which is why he's been disguising his stance and techniques throughout the tournament. Iris then leaves Perv to take his fight and he wins it. After that, Iris saw Beatrix who was watching and then left, and Iris chased after Beatrix to be able to invite her to watch tomorrow's semifinal match.
On the last day of the Bushin Festival, Iris meets Cid again in the VIP seating and sits next to him, guessing he is there to support his sister and explaining that she is waiting for his duel. Moments later, Iris heard a commotion that a woman with a sword was trespassing and wanted to stop it. Iris then sees its Beatrix and explains she invited her. Realizing who Beatrix is as she made an unexpected visit and surprised spectators who knew her at the VIP seating, everyone gets excited and gather around her.
Beatrix came to this country originally to looking for someone, namely her niece who bore a resemblance to her and asked them if they had seen anyone who looked like her, but no one has seen her. They also asked her if any competitor caught her eye and Beatrix stated its Cid. People were surprised that Cid isn't really that good and his sister is so much better, even some people started to question whether this woman was really the real Beatrix.
At that time, King Klaus Midgar came to the stadium arena to attend the Bushin Festival tournament and met King Raphael Geerk Oriana who was accompanied by the Chancellor, Duke Perv Asshat and entered the VIP seating then headed to the area that has two seats which provided to watch the match. When Perv goes into the VIP seating as he passes by an unknown woman, which she states that he and the king stink. Perv gets angry and orders to take her out, but Iris stops him and explains that the woman is her guest and introducing her as Beatrix the War Goddess, which Perv then realizes who she is. As Beatrix apologizes to him and Perv does the same also telling her to watch the match, so she could enjoy the festival.
When Claire Kagenou wins her match, Iris prepares for her battle against Mundane Mann because Iris carries not only the burden of the royal family on her shoulders but also of the entire kingdom as well, both the kingdoms name and pride, even many people believe that Princess Iris will win easily in this match.
Just as the time for the semifinal match had started, Iris suddenly felt her head being chopped off and jumped backwards in fright. He was surprised by what Mundane was doing and stood up to prepare to attack. However, he felt his leg being cut off and realized that the entire arena was within Mundane's attack range. Every time, Iris kept feeling like she was losing limbs from Mundane's attacks. Iris realized she felt it because of the look in his eyes and every time he slightly shifted his center of gravity, it meant it was done by his power and not by an artifact. The crowd was starting to get disappointed in Iris as she kept backing away and feeling scared. Iris was furious and was about to attack, but at that moment, she realized that Mundane wasn't even holding his sword and all he was doing was making Iris see something and think he had pulled out his sword. Mundane then pushed her sword away and grabbed her by the neck knocking her down. Placing his sword against her neck, Jimina wondered what had gone wrong since they had only just started.
The spectators were shocked as they were shocked when Iris who was called the strongest person in the Midgar Kingdom lost with a single strike. However, upon the conclusion outcome, the crowd eyes saw Rose Oriana suddenly revealed herself in public to confront her fiancée, only to unexpectedly assassinated her own father, King Raphael Geerk Oriana whilst unaware that he was controlled by Perv at the time and intent to use the puppet king to kill King Klaus Midgar if Rose didn't come. Initially evenly matched, Beatrix was overwhelmed when the leader of Shadow Garden started to exert his effort against her. Iris Midgar who was beaten by the time she fought Shadow suddenly decide to join their fight as she didn't want him to walk away after ruining the event. Iris suggesting that she'll sacrifice herself in stopping him while the Goddess cut him down.
This backfired as not even an obstruction could stop him as Shadow ultimately defeated them. The wounded Iris asked why he didn't kill them with him responding that he only kills his enemies, departing while reminding her that she shouldn't lose sight of her "true enemies". Immediately afterwards, Shadow disappears in a halo of light, leaving a clear sky in his wake.
Iris was initially confused by his response due to her being given an utter humiliating defeat before the public and had developed a deep hatred towards him, as she concluded that Shadow is an enemy of not only her kingdom but to the whole world.

Although Beatrix is evenly matched in sword fighting, she is overwhelmed by Shadow, who doesn't feel serious by the slightest effort when fighting her. In the middle of their fight, Iris Midgar shows up and states she wants to join the fight to confront Shadow as she wields an artifact mithril sword with ancient runes, surprising him but also amusing him that she would resort to what he sees as a clutch, which annoyed her and turns the blade into a large fire magic from the sword and swings at Shadow.
But Shadow easily dodges and states that it has good visuals and is more fit for a festival spectacular as he blocks Beatrix attacks and continuing their fight, with Iris joining Beatrix to fight Shadow as their fight continues through the city and the two manage to push him towards a construction on a building. It was then Shadow stumbled upon a pair of crowbars and takes them to blocks both Iris and Beatrix attacks, noting that crowbars indeed have potential, and they are kept on fighting on top of a train and on the water until reached the clock tower.
With limited options, Iris proposed Beatrix that she will immobilize him even if it costs her life and then Beatrix can take him down knowing that Shadow is a very powerful opponent. Iris attacks him by swinging her sword until she lets it go and attempts to grab Shadow, however, Shadow kicks her in the chin with his knee. At the same time, Beatrix already finishes charging her attack technique to strike in that moment to take him down when she knocks Shadow's sword. But her plan backfired when Shadow dodged her attack as he grabbed and slammed her over Iris until he stomped both of them.
Shadow decides to leave after he skillfully overwhelms both of them, but the girls manage to stand up until the enraged Iris tells him that by now every knight in the capital city should have been mobilized as she declared to Shadow has turning the whole kingdom into his enemy and has nowhere to run. However, to her shock, Shadow starts laughing maniacally and then asked whose running as he states that he isn't running because there is no reason to, until he displays his formidable strength by activating his magical power that encompasses the entire capital of Midgar, and states that the game time is over. At that time, Alexia Midgar is practicing her swordsmanship skills when Shadow is about to release his "I Am Atomic", but she doesn't care about that and just keeps training her sword.
After seeing his mighty power, Iris and Beatrix went to despaired and left stunned as the two was ready to accept defeat when Shadow performed his "I Am Atomic" attack. However, this was for naught when his attack was canceled and that he disappeared. Facing the reality of the situation, Iris broke down into tears and later developed a deep hatred towards the leader all the while against the advice from the Goddess herself.
Following the aftermath on the incidents during the Bushin festival events that already become ruined which caused by Shadow, the public had become restless to the point that the Midgar Kingdom had tried to maintain order till the public's uneasy reaction have become calm and not cause panic. Midgar Kingdom made news in the newspapers to quell public anxiety that the leader of Shadow Garden had been repelled by First Princess Iris Midgar along with Beatrix until was driven out from the capital and now the kingdom nicknamed him as Demon Shadow.
However, no clues have been found in regard to the whereabouts of Princess Rose, who currently remains a mystery after being found guilty of murdered her father, King Raphael Geerk Oriana and becoming a fugitive. In fact, there is still much remains unknown about the secret society Shadow Garden which aligns itself with Shadow that he is part of, as there is no detailed information have been forthcoming either.
In response to their extreme actions, Midgar Kingdom are made the decision to invoking martial law as the kingdom has rallied all of its forces in the Knight Order for making every effort to apprehend the man who they believe as the main culprit in all the recent incidents.
Whilst king Klaus Midgar had imposed martial law under an royal decree that made the Knight Order relentless in their pursuit of Shadow and his organization to the point of being unable to get involved in the affairs of the Oriana Kingdom, unaware that king Klaus was secretly carrying out his moves to fight against the darkness which at the same time making preparations to biding time with securing King Oriana's corpse and returned it to Oriana through Marquess Grant, who is the leader of the anti-chancellor faction for giving an low-key political move to helped the anti-Duke Perv Asshat faction in Oriana and gain public support as their nation needs time to make preparation to prepare themselves while the darkness that has been lurking since ancient times has taken a deeper hue and the Kingdom will be swallowed up in darkness if they unpreparedly decide to enter.[1]

After the events and incidents caused in the bushin festival, the public learned of the threat of the organization called Shadow Garden, of the being called Shadow, now classified as a very powerful demon, by decree and affirmation of royalty to the public and knowing how dangerous Shadow is, by managing to defeat the vampire queen Elisabeth, the kingdom of Midgar is put on maximum alert against this individual and his secret organization, without taking into account the other organization, called the Cult of Devils.
While the Knight Order is currently still busy for continuing their searches to hunt down Shadow Garden organization, at the same time Midgar Kingdom was experiencing economic development which had improved dramatically along with their quality of life, thanks to the Mitsugoshi Company that has created innovative product and introducing banking notes to the world for increasing the currency, which already become very popular among the kingdom's citizens and thus continuously expanding their company power and influence.
However, Midgar Kingdom is unaware that a discord competition between Mitsugoshi Company and the Major Corporate Alliance is starting to take place unknowingly from the public, leading to a secret internal war through superiority in commercial reliance by fighting over product secrets for the prevalence of trade and support of the people in profit, as well as taking control of the market.
For the time being, the results of the ensuing feud that occurred between the two major parties were still favorable on Mitsugoshi's side until a sudden riot broke out from the citizens when realizing that there is an counterfeits bills had entered the circulation, which already began to affect both sides and eventually resulted in a credit collapse as because the citizens felt worried and anxious about their money that which currently still inside the banks from the MCA and Mitsugoshi, if this is allowed to be left continue in the long run until over time the money that they deposit in the bank cannot return and the citizens will lose their money.
Due to the citizen's impatience continued to grow, Midgar Kingdom decided to order the Knight Order to force all the trading company presidents who were members of the Alliance that were trying to flee to open their vaults, in order to appease the masses after the MCA returned their gold. In the end, the populace lost their trust with the Major Corporate Alliance and the kingdom severely punished all the merchants in the Alliance by giving them harsh punishments for their fraudulent actions that made the MCA's history come to an end after being dissolved.
Shortly after the Alliance's dissolution, the citizens went to the Mitsugoshi Bank branch in the capital, under the same demands and hoping all the gold they had stored up is still there. However, the public were relieved as they are astonished to find out that inside the Mitsugoshi's reserves is full mountain of gold coins which is enough to meet people's demand to trade in their banknotes. The Mitsugoshi teller had carry out the process of money transactions when they fulfill exchange request after another by returning the gold coin to the citizens, thus making people reaction become ease as Mitsugoshi have successfully regained their trust in paper money and the credibility of Mitsugoshi Company.
Prior to the Major Corporate Alliance's swift collapse, Mitsugoshi Company are able to use the Alliance's downfall to eliminate their competitors and gain monopoly rights to full control of the market over the region, which resulted leaving Mitsugoshi becoming the winner in the trade war. Also, Mitsugoshi Company are further increasing their trust on the consumers, as well as purchased all of the MCA's assets after they become bankrupt. Even Mitsugoshi Company have officially forming a partnership with the Snow Fox Corporation.
Having created a power vacuum within the Midgar Kingdom, Mitsugoshi Company's victory over the trade war has filled the void and elevate their position to become very powerful, that not even the government are able to stand up to them because the kingdom's economy will be reduced to shambles if Mitsugoshi were decide to leave. Although this whole incident has caused the nation’s leadership to view money creation with alarm, the fact does remain however that the credit crisis Mitsugoshi and the others orchestrated brought them an unprecedented wave of prosperity.
In order to avert the marketing crisis, Midgar Kingdom decide to hold a meeting with representatives from Mitsugoshi Company and Mitsugoshi Bank which eventually come to a set of agreements regarding credit creation. By presenting an appropriated terms that which is favorable to the Mitsugoshi Company, Midgar Kingdom had succeeded in saving their economy from potential collapse and reinstating the kingdom's commerce system.
Unbeknownst to the Midgar Kingdom, the strife between the two parties is a hidden clash that has involved 2 secret organizations from behind the scenes. However, the conflict is successfully resolved with Cid Kagenou teaming up with the White Tower Monarch, Yukime the Spirit Fox of the Lawless City to assist her in executing the plan to deliver a huge blow after both sides have been weakened through manufacturing counterfeit money into circulation and waiting for the credit collapse time.
Not wanting to reveal his identity, Cid disguised himself as "John Smith" in guarding the carriage distribution line with the help of Snow Fox Corporation in spreading counterfeit money to the citizens and carrying the fruits of their plan from the Lawless City to the hidden secret facility where his older sister, Claire Kagenou was previously held captive in which is now had becomes the site of a counterfeit money printing factory, while he secretly collects money used as a fund to help Mitsugoshi Company which is secretly operated by Shadow Garden.
Even though the goal of the current plan had almost gone according to plan, Cid was surprised that the money that had been raised so far had suddenly disappeared until he was told by the servants of the Snow Fox Corporation that Yukime was in trouble because the Alliance leader had caught her, not knowing that it was Shadow Garden who took all the money due to an encrypted message Cid wrote containing the location of the money, allowing them to retrieve it.
Afterward, Cid assumes that the money has been stolen and he intends to beat up the culprit by tracking Yukime until Cid reaches a location where he sees Yukime's condition which is quite bad. Then, Cid confronts the culprit and fights until the death of Gettan who is a collaborator of the Cult of Diablos who controls the Major Corporate Alliance from the shadows with the mission to crush Mitsugoshi.
With Gettan killed, the Cult suffered total defeat as their plan had failed when they lost the MCA resulting in another heavy loss because all of the Cult's assets were taken by Mitsugoshi Company. As a result, the Mitsugoshi's social standing improved, and their company influence became so powerful that even the Midgar Kingdom's government could not risk defying them and was financially dependent on the commercial monopoly.
As Cid was about to go to Oriana Kingdom after inadvertently saving Mitsugoshi Company, the Cult of Diablos had received a devastating blow after losing the Major Corporate Alliance which made the Cult have lost a large portion of their funds and influence in the kingdom, to which the damage had furtherly affected on all the factions in Midgar.
Especially for the Fenrir's Sect Faction which had recently been in decline after his faction was under constant attack by Shadow Garden for the past 5 years, while Fenrir was just starting on carrying out a mission to revive Diablos' right arm from the Midgar Academy for Dark Knights in order to resupply the Beads of Diablos after the Sanctuary's destruction in Lindwurm had unleashed the left arm caused by Shadow by kidnapping many student who were possessed magic power that are compatible with the Possession at the Academy during the winter vacation.
