The Mist Dragon (
Appearance[]
The Mist Dragon is a massive and ancient draconic entity; so large, in fact, that a 13-year-old Shadow was roughly the size of the length of his horned head, down to part of his neck. The scales of the Mist Dragon are a glowing silver-white, with blueish/magenta reflections on the mainsails of his wings. He has four chroma-dynamic whiskers, two on each cheek, six horns atop his cranium-- two large horns with golden points, two big horns, and two smaller horns-- with color-shifting energy emanating from the back of his head, with eyes glowing an ethereal misty blue-white. Atop his chest is a protruding rib scale armor protecting his center mass, with his arms doubling as legs with two blue jolting lines radiating down from his shoulders, the outer line leading to the first spike of his forearm and the inner line leading to the first spike of his inner arm. Descending from his torso is his abdomen leading into his tail, with two whisker fins growing out from where the pelvic bone would lay, and a tail with a frilled membrane around the tail's tip.
Personality[]
The Mist Dragon has an arrogant, intimidating, and serious attitude and behavior. They usually speak and interact face-to-face with individuals they deem worthy, without being easily intimidated. They may choose to kill someone after speaking with them.
Despite his cold and sinister demeanor, the Mist Dragon has a hint of humor. When chatting with Beta, a member of the Shadow Garden, the Dragon found amusement in Beta's curious questions. Additionally, when defeated by Shadow and observing Shadow's expression and remarks, the Dragon found it funny. As Shadow left, seeking knowledge and growth, the Dragon expressed strong admiration for Shadow's determination.
Beyond their hostile and dangerous nature, the Mist Dragon demonstrates profound philosophical wisdom. They reflect on how every living being seeks power to govern their lands and the importance of honor and respect for strength. The Dragon witnessed these qualities in the ruler and nobles of Alexandria, the former capital of Midgar. The Dragon respects individuals like Shadow who achieve power with honor, dignity, and fairness. Conversely, they become enraged by those who become corrupt and disregard agreements when wielding power over others.
When the descendants and people of Alexandria betrayed and altered the pact made by their ruler over time, the Mist Dragon's rage was unleashed. In a retaliatory act, the Dragon destroyed the entire capital overnight, killing its inhabitants and reducing it to a desolate territory under the Dragon's control.
Chronology[]
Background[]
Approximately one millennium ago, the Mist Dragon formed a pact with the king of Alexandria, a powerful man at the time, having promised prosperity and protection for the city using his mist. In return of his obedience, his condition was that one day he will be given death by the king's heirs.
However, as time passed, the pact was forgotten, and the descendants of the king became greedy with their prosperity instead of striving to grow in strength. The Mist Dragon then laid waste to the capital as a test to see if they were worthy of their power. Instead, the capital fell in one night against the Mist Dragon's force and the Mist Dragon used the fallen city as his resting place thereafter, concealing Alexandria using the Mist Dragon's deadly poison mist around the Abyss Woods.
Searching for a New Base[]
Years later, Shadow and the Seven Shadows, in search of a new place to stay would uncover Alexandria and face off against the dragon. Cid defeated the Mist Dragon using an underdeveloped "I Am Atomic" but could not kill him. The dragon then swore obedience to Shadow allowing his organization to use Alexandria as their headquarters, believing one day that Shadow will be able to kill him.

Powers & Abilities[]
The Mist Dragon It is possibly one of the strongest magical creatures currently alive, likely even stronger than Elizabeth. It is the oldest being of all, and the first to force Shadow to fight "a little serious", during their first meeting, when Shadow had barely stopped being a child.
